An Italian Baroque Tabernacle frame, circa 1750 painted, part gilt and carved wood with later antiqued mirror. Finial possibly later. A good example of an architectural frame first seen during the Italian Renaissance. Designed based on ancient architectural forms. Many layers of old paint. A rare and wonderful example from another time.
